Natalie Walton is a leading Sydney stylist and writer whose work has appeared in premier interior and lifestyle magazines such as Country Style, Frankie, Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire. Sharing with Dorf several core design values, the collaboration was a perfect fit. Both Natalie and Dorf believe in timeless simplicity and intuitive design. That is, the end result serves a clearly defined purpose, but is also very refined.
“It's always important to me to create spaces where people want to be,” says Natalie. And that is exactly the approach to design that she followed during her time working with Dorf. We’re proud that our varied collection of tapware ranges allows anyone to create their own visual dialogue – a dialogue that reflects their own unique style and tastes.
Natalie’s interest in storytelling provoked two substantially different works.
Firstly, the contemporary Myriad Cross range sparked Natalie’s interest.
“The cross symbol has always been around, but it’s currently enjoying a renaissance of sorts. The Myriad, with its softly curved lines, gives it a new twist. It’s interesting to see it have a modern take in life and I wanted to play with that”.
“I wanted to bring the cross shapes to life and the fluro boxes are quite fun. It just goes to show that with your tapware, you can mix and match them with different types of materials and it doesn’t always have to be about white rendered walls. I thought I could almost create a moodboard for how you might use this tapware".
